There&#8217;s something fitting about eating wings within walking distance of where the dish more or less started; the historical placard right on the table doesn&#8217;t let you forget it, either.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/feedmittens.com\/justwingit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/IMG_0332.jpg\" alt=\"Close-up of the wing platter at Gabriel's Gate, Buffalo, NY\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>Allentown itself is worth the wander before or after &mdash; one of Buffalo&#8217;s oldest neighborhoods, all Victorian rowhouses and small bars a block off Delaware Avenue.
