No restaurant name visible, but salad-as-side suggests someone at the table was trying to keep things balanced. It wasn&#8217;t me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you&#8217;re in the area anyway:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/bnhv.org\/\">Buffalo Niagara Heritage Village<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www3.erie.gov\/parks\/ellicott-creek\">Ellicott Creek Park<\/a> are both solid Amherst detours before you commit to the wing capital itself.<\/p>\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Update: A Couple of Real Candidates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Closest real options in the Amherst\/Eggertsville area, though neither is a certain match for a low-key &#8216;warm-up&#8217; stop: <a href=\"https:\/\/anchorbar.com\/locations\/amherst-ny\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anchor Bar \u2013 Amherst<\/a> (4300 Maple Rd \u2014 the original birthplace-of-the-Buffalo-wing chain) or <a href=\"https:\/\/duffswings.com\/home-page\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Duff&#8217;s Famous Wings<\/a> (3651 Sheridan Dr).
