This one’s GPS-flagged about 1.8 miles south of the “same spot” cluster above — a genuinely different restaurant, and given the timing, quite possibly where I went looking once the old regular haunt shut its doors for good. Two flavors split down the middle of the plate, cucumber spears standing in for celery, an imported beer, and a wooden table someone had carved “VITOR HUGO VIADO” into, which I can only assume is a very committed regular leaving his mark. New era, same energy.
If you’re in the area anyway: the Danforth Art Museum and Framingham History Center remain excellent, unlike my ability to remember restaurant names.
Update: Probably Route 9 Sports Bar
Most likely Route 9 Sports Bar, 1186 Worcester Rd, Framingham — coordinates match within about 50 meters. It’s a Brazilian-menu sports bar, which would neatly explain both the imported beer and a carved name that reads like a Portuguese given name.
