A white plate, a black ramekin of white dip, and — I want to stress this — an actual basil garnish. Someone in the Lancaster, NY wing scene is trying, and I respect it, even if I can’t tell you who. This is easily top three for “restaurant clearly cared” in a photo where the restaurant’s name is nowhere to be found.
If you’re in the area anyway: the Lancaster Opera House is a genuinely lovely 1897 building with a full show schedule, and Como Lake Park is right there for a walk.
Update: Probably The Yelling Goat
Went back through this one with better research tools — almost certainly The Yelling Goat, 205 Central Ave, Lancaster, NY. The coordinates land right on the restaurant’s doorstep, and it’s known for elevated, creative wing preparations (Berbere-spiced, among others) — which lines up with the fancy basil-garnish plate in the photo.
